A simple way to determine a chandelier size is to add the dimensions of the room together in feet and then convert the answer to inches. The answer in inches should equal the diameter of the fixture. So if your room measures 10′ x 14′ the diameter of the fixture should be about 24″.

Bathrooms zones show which level of protection is required in the UK.

A light fittings resistance to water and solid objects is stated as an IP XX rating. The first number from 1 to 6 shows the resistance of the fitting to solid objects. The second digit from 1 to 8 shows resistance from liquids.

For Zone Zero specialist fittings with a rating of at least IP67 12v SEL can be used. For Zones 1 &2 IP44 will be suitable.
